[I first wrote this About page three and a half years ago.  I was about to delete and alter a lot of the things I wrote then, but instead I thought it would be interesting (more so for me really!) to keep the January 2012 “about me”, then write a new entry as at September 2015 below it]

(January 2012)

I’m a dabbler. I’m constantly coming up with ideas, mainly creative and literary ‘masterpieces’, but I annoy myself that I progress so few of them. I get excited about quirky things. I have notepads full of ideas and details of things I see and like.

Interests:  Making books, writing, craft, films, cats, the sea, reading, people, photography, cheese, rummage shops, squash (the sport and even the drink), tea and coffee, old cookery books, cooking/baking, maps, herbs …

Favourite Films:  These would change every day I thought about it but today: The Lives of Others, Run Lola Run, Underworld (1927), Babette’s Feast, Amelie, Waltz with Bashir, Spirited Away, Dirty Dancing, Born Romantic, Some Like it Hot …

Favourite Music:  Some pop, a little bit of rock, occasionally folk, country, jazz and classical, ’60s pop/rock. Can’t think of anyone in particular though I’ve liked Sigur Ros, Badly Drawn Boy and Nina Simone for a long time.

Favourite Books:  Far too many! The ones that come to mind first: Persepolis, One Day, His Dark Materials trilogy, Pride & Prejudice, Wild Sheep Chase (and most other Murakami), Marathon Man, Princess Bride, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, 12 Bar Blues

(September 2015)

I’m a dabbler. I’m constantly coming up with ideas, mainly creative and literary “masterpieces”, but I annoy myself that I progress so few of them. I get excited about quirky things. I have notepads full of ideas and details of things I see and like.  [Yes, still dabbling]

Interests: Food, coffee, colour, photography, social media (early-stage interest), decorating (though with a lot of caveats), maps, rummage shops, Pilates (and I stand by the use of a capital P), travel, LPs, branding …

Favourite Films: Spirited Away, Born Romantic, Some Like it Hot, La Grande Bellezza …

Favourite Music: Nina Simone, Faded Paper Figures …

Favourite Books: A Wild Sheep Chase, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Marathon Man, Princess Bride, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Conjurer’s Bird …

The “…” might be annoying but I felt it reflected the ongoing thought process of favourite things.
